What do you get when a forerunner in the ice cream industry marries another giant, this time in the field of chocolates? Well, that unlikely but exciting union would churn out off-springs in the form of Selecta's Hershey's Ice Cream Collection!
Selecta Philippines has merged with Hershey's to bring us these familiar-tasting yet relatively new ice cream flavors! Right on time for the summer, eh?
Selecta's Hershey's Collection includes the flavors Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate with Almonds, Kisses, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
Milk Chocolate. Classic HERSHEY'S milk chocolate ice cream.
Milk Chocolate with Almonds. HERSHEY'S milk chocolate ice cream loaded
with chocolate chips, roasted almonds, and chocolate swirls.
Kisses. Milk chocolate and white chocolate ice cream loaded with chocolate chips,
cookies, and swirls of chocolate syrup.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Chunks of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in milk chocolate ice cream.
Before tonight, I had eaten the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups variant several times already. Being a big (no pun intended) Reese's fan, it surely hit home the first time it ever set foot in my taste buds. I can't find anything bad about it, except for how much fat it promises to give to one's body. Ha ha. After having a tablespoon of each of the other three other variants, I'd say that Selecta's Reese's Peanut Butter Cups variant is the best, for me, at least. The Milk Chocolate with Almonds comes in at a close second. Surprisingly, the Milk Chocolate with Almonds tastes exactly like the Hershey's bar. It's like they melted several bars and placed them in a tub and placed it in a blast freezer. The Milk Chocolate comes third in my list since I'm not a fan of plain chocolate. I'm putting the Kisses variant in last place since the bits of Kisses included were totally overpowered by the milk and chocolate ice cream.
But then again, that's just me. I'm a sucker for Reese's so it's really no competition for me. I suggest you try all flavors so you'd be able to name your favorite, too! A pint (800ml) costs between 150php to 160php, and is perfect for sharing for up to four people!
Kuya Chris! Hehehe hello :-)
