Down Time.

I'm down with the flu and I wasn't able to get up this morning for my classes because I was feeling really sick. These late nights-early mornings sleeping habits (which continued even when I served last weekend in BLD Youth Ministry's Youth Encounter weekend, separate post, I promise) are taking a toll on me. Add to that the uhm, weather. See, even I can't think of an adjective for the weather that we've been experiencing for some time now. I'm really not that sickly, but when I do catch something, it just screws up my entire system. Anyway, I'm just so glad that I have no exams and major papers to do and submit this week so that means I can rest. And by resting, I mean having a White Collar marathon. Definitely number 2 on my list of series; the number 1 spot goes to Suits, of course.

Evidently, this post has no central theme and yes, I'm bored, thus the creation of this post. But hey, I guess being sick and bored has got some upside, too. My study table was a mess because I've been studying for the last two weeks for exams, which by the way, I think I did great good in, I decided to rehabilitate it and try and make it less cluttered. And as of typing this, the table's still organized so yeah, that's more than an hour of being organized! I'm getting good at this cleaning thing! Here's what it looks like right now.

I did not dare take a photo of what it looked like before I cleaned it so as to save myself from shame and you guys from eye sore. Anyway, again, I'm cooking up a giveaway for February so y'all better check out the blog for mechanics. I'm also gonna be releasing three covers in the coming month so please check out my Soundcloud and my YouTube channel. I'm gonna go back to resting now. Season 2 Episode 2.

Entrance.

"Look on every exit as being an entrance somewhere else."
(Tom Stoppard)

Things are gonna be a lot harder but everything will be worth it. I'll make 'em worth it. I'm ready to take on challenges and grab opportunities that God sends my way. There is no big or small opportunity 'cause what's important is what you make of the opportunity given to you.

The photo above was taken by my good friend Jeremiah Pilapil of JePe litratography. Oh, the perks of assisting in his shoots. Ha ha! Please, please visit his Facebook page and be amazed with his portraits!

Oh, and please visit and LIKE Chris Belison on Facebook, too! :)

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas! I intended to do a Christmas post much earlier today but I was running around with some of the cousins who dropped by our house. So, how did you spend Christmas eve and Christmas day? Here are some photos of what me and my family did.

Cooked a simple Noche Buena spread.

Molo Soup was definitely the star of the table last night.

No Noche Buena's ever complete with Queso de Bola, Chicken and Potato Salad.

Colors of the season.

We spent a good hour during Noche Buena then headed upstairs to have tea and exchange stories; a first for our family. Ha ha! Went to bed right after because we had to wake up to hear the 9:00AM Eucharistic Celebration in St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish in UPLB.

Christmas morning. With some of our relatives from Talim Island, Binangonan, Rizal.

Before heading out to hear Mass.

Change position daw. Ha ha.

I guess one of the best things about Christmas is that I get to hear Mass with my family. See, my mum and aunts don't really attend Mass every Sunday and RJ goes to Mass with his girlfriend so I usually hear Mass with friends from the BLD Youth Ministry. The Christmas Family Mass is actually one of the things that I always look forward to whenever Christmas season comes.

Went home right after the Mass and spent time just chillin' and waiting for relatives to drop by. Mum and Mama thought of this neat idea of giving out "Papasko" to some of our younger relatives. They clipped on different denominations in a rack and each person gets to pick out a piece of paper with a number on it from a fish bowl. The number on the paper corresponds to the piece of plastic which contains PhP 40.00 - PhP 1,000.00! Ang saya lang kasi thrilling and excited kaming lahat. Ha ha!

The Money Rack. LOL

Yes, I did join and I got PhP 50.00! Ha ha! Mum imposed this isang bunot kada tao lang so ayun. Ha ha! My ten year old cousin Buchoi got the PhP 1,000.00! Swerte! The rest of the day was spent running around with hyper active kids and some videoke. Definitely a tiring but fun day!

Kayo? Kamusta ang Pasko niyo? :)

Again, Merry Christmas and may the love, joy and peace of the Lord fill your hearts!

P.S: Don't forget to join my first ever blog give-away! I'm giving out one Moonleaf Tea Shop 2012 Planner! Click here to know more on how you can score this one! :)

eLBi Christmas 2011

UPLB's Christmas Tree (plus the Belen and Santa Clause and friends his deers) was lit for the first time last night. I did miss the lighting ceremony and the program because I really wasn't planning on going out last night but a couple of Facebook messages and Tweets from my cousins made me get up and visit the park to take photos. Read more to view more photos from last night!

Ooold School.

Took these shots while in the studio last Saturday. I have a penchant for gadgets, be they old or new. It's nice to see how things have evolved, no?

Toshiba Computer

Nikon FM 10

It's funny how in the near future, this Compaq laptop I'm typing on, the Nikon D40 that I have, and the iPhone 4 that I use will all be considered as "ancient" or even extinct gadgets already. Oh, time is inevitable, as should progress also be.

Pre-All Souls' Day 2 | 31 October 2011

Spent a few hours in the cemetery before heading home. Got a little bored so I took some photos of the candles. Here are a couple of shots that I actually like. Ha ha.

What do you think of these? I know I still have a lot to learn about photography and I just hope I don't get too lazy and stop studying and practicing. I'm also looking forward for an upgrade. I'm currently using a Nikon D40 with its kit lens (18-55mm) and I'm thinking of switching to Canon. Oh well, til next post.

Pre-All Souls' Day | 30 October 2011

The family spent the whole afternoon in Los Baños Memorial Garden to clean up the mausoleum of our departed ones. This one's actually the one for the Aragones side of our family, while the mausoleum for the Belison side is located in Talim Island, Binangonan, Rizal.

T'was a very hot afternoon and the sun provided ample light for my photos. These are just some of the photos that I took. Click the images for higher resolution.
